What You'll Need
Aside from a product to sell, you'll need a couple of other items before you're ready for e-commerce with the Internovations Online Store:
  • You will need a digital certificate from either Verisign or Thwate. A digital certificate allows you to accept your customer's private information (such as credit cards) in a secure manner over the Internet.
  • You will need a merchant account. A merchant account allows your business to accept payments via credit card. You may be able to establish a merchant account with your business bank. Your merchant account MUST USE either AuthorizeNet or CardServices as the online payment processor.
  • You will need a domain name for your store. If you already have a website and a domain name, then you can simply create a new host such as shop.mydomain.com that will be used for your store.
  • Your company logo in a JPEG format.
  • Pictures, descriptions and pricing for your products.
  • Text describing your company's business policies such as: shipping policies, return policy, warranty information, privacy policies, etc.
How It Works
Once you have your merchant account, digital certificate and information about your products and policies, setup of your online e-commerce store is simple:
  1. Select the package you want from the signup page.
  2. Provide your billing information. We will charge your credit card for the one-time setup fee.
  3. Within one business day, we will contact you with information so that you can login and start adding your products to your store. At this time, you will also provide us with your digital certificate so that we can install this into your store.
  4. Using the Onlie Store administration site, you will upload your company logo, set the fonts and colors to use on your store, enter your products, define your shipping methods and sales tax rates and configure the store to meet your needs.
  5. After all of the store configuration is complete and tested with your merchant account, you're ready to go live!
  6. There are no long term contracts and you can cancel your store at any time. You are billed on the 1st of every month for the hosting fee associated with the package you select.
